My name is Don and I am a South Florida transplant. You know, one of those people that the locals pretend to hate online but really don’t? (I promise you, it’s only the online trolls that hate us.)

I impulsively moved to Florida from NJ back in early 2019 and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions that I ever made. But that doesn’t mean the journey has been all rainbows and sunshine (pun intended).

Most of the things that I know I had to learn the hard way, from exploring the entire Miami area on my own without any guidance, and that is the main reason I do what I do.

After living here for over five years, I’ve gathered a ton of useful info that I wish I’d had when I first moved. I’m laying it all out for you—from a local’s perspective. But not just any local, someone who’s already taken the leap that you may be considering.
